This Data Retention Policy outlines how the House Republican Conference collects, retains, and disposes of data in accordance with federal records management requirements and applicable privacy laws.
Types of Data Collected
We may collect web analytics data, contact form submissions, newsletter subscription information, and other data provided voluntarily by visitors. No personally identifiable information is collected without user consent.
Retention Periods
Web analytics data is retained for a period of 36 months. Contact form submissions are retained for the duration of the current congressional session. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until the subscriber requests removal.
Data Disposal
Upon expiration of the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted in accordance with federal information security standards. Records designated as permanent under the Federal Records Act are transferred to the National Archives.
